Stephen Foster, CFP, Dip Financial Planning – President CCT

Board Member since August 2000 

Stephen has extensive experience in the financial industry, having worked in a senior position with the Tasmanian Government in the Treasury Department, and as a Financial Consultant in the Health Department.

Stephen is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA), is a certified financial planner and partner at SM Financial who have offices in Tasmania and Victoria.  Stephen has also worked as a diagnostic radiographer and ambulance officer.

Stephen was also Chairman of CCT from 2006-2009.

 

Harvey Cuthill, OAM Ph.C. M.P.S MAICD  

Director since 1997 

Harvey has worked in the area of community pharmacy since graduating from the University of Tasmania in the late 1960s.

He is a life member of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, and served as a national councillor and vice-president of the Guild’s Tasmanian branch.

In 2009, Harvey received an Order of Australia medal for service to pharmacy through the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, and to the community of Launceston through service, health and sporting organisations.

Harvey was Chairman of CCT from 2003 – 2006.


Scott Adams

Director since September 2011

Scott Adams is CEO of Knight Errant Pty Ltd.; a Hobart based company involved in providing software testing, project management and IT consulting services to corporate clients.  Scott is responsible for devising business plans, implementing strategies, developing new opportunities and maintaining client relationships for effective running of the business.  Prior to this, Scott was associated in various capacities with Aurora Energy.  His roles at Aurora included Business Manager, Retail and Customer Services Manager.  Additionally he oversaw the requirements preparation, evaluation and selection of the Aurora CIS (billing system) replacement, the largest IT project ever undertaken by Aurora Energy.  Scott is Chairman of Lady Gowrie Tasmania, the state’s largest not-for-profit child care provider.

Scott has three daughters, aged between 7 years and 4 months, and lives in Howden.

 

David Bowker BSc MComm GAICD

Director since September 2011

David has an Engineering degree from the UK and a Master of Commerce degree from Capetown University.  He has worked for Caltex and de Beers in several countries prior to joining Hydro Tasmania in 1991.  During his time at Hydro Tasmania he was the inaugural winner of the Sir Allan Knight Scholarship which allowed him to study energy markets in the UK.  He has had roles within Hydro Tasmania in information technology, corporate strategy and energy policy areas.  David is currently the deputy chairman of the board of the National Generators Forum, an industry association of electricity generators across Australia.  His particular interests lie in strategy and governance.

 

Karen Forster, BA Grad Dip Health Prom.

Director since December 2005 

Karen is long term member of the Tasmanian Breast Cancer Network Inc. & is a Community Liaison Officer for Breast Cancer Network Australia.  She is also a member of Cancer Australia’s National Consumer Advisory Group.

Karen is the consumer representative on both the Executive Committee and Scientific Advisory Committee for Primary Care Collaborative Cancer Clinical Trials Group (PC4TG) and is Joint Chair of the Joint Consumer Advisory Group of PC4TG and Physco-Oncology Co-operative Research Group POCOG.

Karen works for the Department of Health and Human Services as the Acting State Manager of Cancer Screening & Control Services.

 

Ald Sandra French, AM  

Director since May 2002

Sandra was a teacher for 20 years including seven years as a special education teacher.  She has had continued involvement with the School of Special Education and the Society for Multiple Disabled People Tasmania as a result of her affinity with organizations for people with disabilities.

In 1985, Sandra became the second ever woman elected to the Burnie City Council, and the first female elected Mayor in 1990.

Sandra was inducted to the Tasmanian Honour Roll of Women in 2009 for her service to the community.

 

Leanne Topfer, LLB (Hons)

Director since June 2008 

Leanne was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania and High Court in 1983.  Leanne is experienced in a number of areas of law with an emphasis on personal injury litigation, medical negligence, workers compensation and family law.

Leanne is a partner in McLean McKenzie & Topfer with offices in Burnie and Smithton.

Leanne was President of the Law Society of Tasmania in 2006 and has been on the Executive Committee of the Council of the Law Society since 2001.

 

Allyson Warrington BBus, FAMI, CPM, FAICD

Director since September 2011

Allyson is CEO of General Practice Training Tasmania and was previously the General Manager Tasmania of CPA Australia.  She is a Board Member of the Hobart Women’s Shelter and former Director of the Tasmanian Polytechnic.

Allyson is former President of the Australian Marketing Institute (Tas) and Public Relations Institute of Australia (Tas).  She holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing and International Business) and Company Directors Course Diploma.

She is a Certified Practising Marketer, Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

 

Dr Craig White, Representative of DHHS

Director since February 2009 

Craig is Chief Medical Officer for the Department of Health.  He worked previously as CEO of the Royal Hobart Hospital, Executive Director Clinical Services and Chief Medical Officer for two of Victoria’s largest public health services, Southern Health and Austin Health, including the Austin Hospital.  He was involved there in cancer system development and reform.
