Living Well After Cancer – Swansea
August 15 11:30 am - 3:00 pm| Free event
Cancer Council Tasmania is running a Living Well After Cancer workshop for residents of the Glamorgan Spring Bay Shire.
The Living Well After Cancer workshop will be held at the May Shaw Health and Wellbeing Centre in Swansea. Cancer Council Tasmania CEO Penny Egan said the workshop had received funding from the Tour De Cure bike ride.
“We are extremely grateful to the Tour De Cure. Living Well After Cancer is a free workshop for people who have completed their cancer treatment and are looking at ways to maintain and develop healthy habits to promote their wellbeing,” Mrs Egan said.
“The focus of Living Well After Cancer is on healthy eating, exercise and promoting emotional well-being.
“Participants will also have the opportunity to hear from cancer survivor, Debbie, who will talk about her experiences after finishing bowel cancer treatment.”
A range of health experts will also be on hand to present and take questions. Participants are very welcome to bring their partners or carers. A light lunch will be provided. Transport is also available from Bicheno, Orford and Triabunna. Call Jill on 6169 1900 for more information or to register.
