Dress Down Day

The Cancer Council Tasmania invites you, your friends, workmates, school or club to make a big change to your dress code at any time throughout the year and donate the funds raised to assist CANCER PLUS.

CANCER PLUS (Parents like us) is a Tasmanian program set up by The Cancer Council Tasmania to educate, support, serve and advocate for families of children with cancer, survivors of childhood cancer and the professionals who care for them.

    It’s easy to take part!
It is easy for you to participate in Dress Down Day:
  • At work
Organise co-workers to dress down for the day and to make a minimum gold coin donation for doing so. You can dress casual or in a theme. Perhaps hold a BBQ or a morning tea.
  • At school
Get permission from your teacher or school principal to organise your school to have a free-dress day. Again, make a donation to The Cancer Council Tasmania for dressing down.
  • At a function
Combine this fun event with a special function, perhaps your Christmas party. Raise funds however you like: run a raffle or charge a nominal fee to attend. You may even have another idea how you can join us for Dress Down Day.

All registered participants will receive a Casual Kit including posters to publicise how you are participating and stickers for you to wear so others will know why you are dressing down.

How to register for Dress Down Day
  • Order your Casual Kit and indicate the number of posters and stickers you require.
  • Rally support at your workplace/school and collect donations from everyone involved.
  • Complete the reply form and send in your funds to The Cancer Council Tasmania as soon as possible.

Thank you! You will be helping The Cancer Council Tasmania raise much needed funds to assist children with cancer in Tasmania.
