We need your help to continue the fight against cancer. When you donate to the Cancer Council Tasmania you make a real contribution to minimising the impact of cancer on all Tasmanians. The Council depends on donations from the public to fund vital cancer research and its other programs of support and information, and health promotion. In the last twelve months:

  • We have allocated over $2 million to Tasmanian cancer research projects.
  • Our Cancer Council Helpline and Cancer Support Centres has helped over 10,000 people with counselling support and information booklets for the cost of a local call, by dialling 13 11 20.
  • The latest cancer prevention information has been distributed free of charge statewide.
  • More than half those battling a life threatening cancer were successfully treated.

WAYS TO GIVE

Make A Donation
The Council offers online donations facility for credit card amounts using an SSL Secure Server. Alternatively, donations can be made by printing the following form and mailing or faxing it to the Cancer Council Tasmania. Donations can also be made by telephone or in person at any Cancer Support Centre. Addresses for the Cancer Support Centres can be found on the contact page. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.

A Memorial Donation
Commemorate the life of someone close by asking family and friends to make a memorial donation instead of sending flowers to a funeral. And, if you want to make a memorial donation, we’ll let the next of kin or family know about your donation (although not the amount donated). You can send your donation by our SSL Secure Server, post or it can be actioned by telephone with a credit card. Call 1300 65 65 85 for further information about our Memorial Gifts program.

Gift Planning
Gift Planning is charitable giving usually carried out as part of a person’s financial and estate planning, and makes it possible to set aside a portion of the assets for the Cancer Council Tasmania. Ways to give through Gift Planning include Bequests; Gifts of Annuities and Endowments. If you would like further information call our Fundraising Coordinator, Traycee Powell.
