Fundraising

The Cancer Council Tasmania relies on the community’s generosity for over 70 per cent of the funds to run its services and programs that aim to minimise the impact of cancer on all Tasmanians.

All community support, whether through the purchase of a daffodil or making a donation in memory of a loved one, makes a difference.

Sources of income from the community include:

Support or participation in our special events: Relay For Life in February/March, The Gala Ball in April, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in May, Daffodil Day in August and Pink Ribbon Day in October.
Bequests: a gift of money or property to The Cancer Council Tasmania in a Will.
Donations and Memorial Gifts.
Community organised fundraising events.
