Funds mostly come from corporate sponsor tables as well as one live and three silent auctions on the night. All funds
go to Tasmanian cancer research.
In February 2007 The Cancer Council Tasmania and the David Collins
Leukaemia Foundation distributed a total of $339,000. This brings
to almost $3 million the amount that The Cancer Council Tasmania
has invested in cancer research and related projects in Tasmania
since its inception in 1995 – all thanks to the generous
support of the Tasmanian community.
The Gala Ball is an opportunity for Tasmanian businesses to support
the work of The Cancer Council Tasmania by:
Donating a product or service to be auctioned
Buying a table for 10 guests as a platinum, gold or silver sponsor
