The boys will be at a loose end this October when the girls get together for Girls Night In. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate valued friendships whilst raising money for women’s cancers. The idea behind Girls Night In is simple: · Invite your girlfriends, female colleagues and family members over · Enjoy some quality time with your circle of friends over a food night; a movie night; a pamper night or a fashion night · Your guests make a donation to The Cancer Council equivalent to what they might have spent on a night out We’ll channel the funds you raise into vital research into women’s cancers; our essential support services for cancer patients, their families and carers; and Education and Prevention programmes to lessen women’s cancer risk. The Cancer Council Australia and its state members invest more money into women’s cancers than any other charity in Australia. We also offer a range of essential and unique support services and education and prevention programs. So we offer complete care. How Does Girls Night In Work?1. Simply register as a Girls Night In host or by calling 1300 65 65 85. We’ll send a complimentary host kit containing invitations, and promotional materials. 2. Set a date and pick a theme. If you need some ideas for a theme for your Girls Night In, check out our 4 recommendations for a fun-filled and successful occasion: 3. Then create your guest list and send your invitations – you can use the invitations supplied in your host kit. Your host kit contains pledge forms and donation envelopes, so your guests can easily contribute to your fundraising. And although the boys aren’t invited, there’s no reason they can’t contribute - ask them to chip in before sending them out for the night! Whatever date and theme you choose, you’re certain to have a great night and strengthen the bond amongst your circle of friends. If you’re unable to host or attend a Girls Night In but feel yu’d like to contribute to the fight against women’s cancers, you can contribute by making an online donation.
