How to Donate

We need your help to continue the fight against cancer. When you donate to The Cancer Council Tasmania you make a real contribution to minimising the impact of cancer on all Tasmanians. The Council depends on public donations to fund vital cancer research and its other programs of support, information and health promotion. Since its establishment in 1995 the Council has:

  • Allocated over $2 million to Tasmanian cancer research projects.
  • Initiated the state-wide The Cancer Council Helpline 13 11 20 that provides telephone support, referrals and information for the cost of a local call.
  • Established four Cancer Support Centres (Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie) that provide face-to-face support and information about cancer, and are the reference point for cancer support groups and other cancer services in their region.
  • Established Cancer Connect, a peer support service for people with cancer, their families and carers.
