Registering and preparing a team
Relay For Life is an overnight community event to raise funds for Cancer Council Tasmania. Anyone in the community can be involved. Teams of 10 or more challenge themselves to keep their baton moving in a relay-style walk or run. A festive atmosphere is created with free entertainment, spot prizes and a collage of colourful tents. There are no age limits, however, participants under 18 years old must have adult supervision at all times.

There is a $12 entry fee for each team member (includes GST) – minimum $100 fee on team registration.

We send all correspondence and deliveries to the team captain. Team captains attend a briefing session held before each event. Other team members are also encouraged to attend.

Fundraising
Team goal $1000 - $1500 or more! Each team member is asked to raise $100 in addition to their $12 entry fee.

Team members collect donations and sponsorship income and bank these funds before the event. Receipt books for tax-deductible donations will be sent to team captains when the team registration form and fee is received. Team captains are also sent bank deposit slips to directly deposit team member funds into the Cancer Council Tasmania Relay For Life bank account.
