Advocacy

Cancer Council Tasmania advocates for public policies that will promote health and prevent disease on behalf of the Tasmanian community and people living with cancer.

We maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with key clinical bodies including the National Breast Cancer Centre, the Department of Health and Human Services, the AMA, the Divisions of General Practice and the various colleges.

These relationships benefit Tasmanian cancer control and exploit opportunities to progress issues on cancer diagnosis and treatment.
