Strengthening Support for Breast Cancer Project

A three-year project managed by The Cancer Council Tasmania was funded by the state and federal governments to strengthen the support given to women with breast cancer who live in rural communities. The final published report, Strengthening Support for Women with Breast Cancer, Report on the Tasmanian Project 2001 – 2004 and supporting documents are available from the Statewide Information Officer 03 6336 2030 or infotas@cancertas.org.au.

Information regarding breast cancer can be obtained from The Cancer Council Helpline on 13 11 20, at Cancer Support Centre Libraries across Tasmania and/ from the websites of The National Breast Cancer Centre and the Breast Cancer Network Australia.

Boots for a Cure

EMU Ridge hopes to raise $45,000 for the Cancer Council to help fund vital work in breast cancer research, prevention and care.

The Special Edition Breast Cancer boots will be available in three fashionable colours including pink, blue and lemon.
