There is a direct link between a healthy diet and lower incidences of cancer.
A recent Australian study estimates that 11% of cancers may result from inadequate fruit and vegetable intake. Eat Well Tasmania is a statewide program that provides support and assistance for activities or projects that promote healthy eating.
Eat Well Tasmania aims to help reduce diet
related health problems; these include cardiovascular
disease, diabetes, obesity and some cancers. Eat Well
Tasmania also aims to improve the nutritional well being
of all Tasmanians by maximising the impact of food and
nutrition promotion, and supporting the local food industry. |
