The Cancer Council Tasmania has appointed Cancer Council Nurses to negotiate the cancer journey for newly diagnosed patients, their families and carers.

The nurses can answer questions, develop pathways of care, identify appropriate services and liaise with families and carers. The nurses can also act as a resource for GPs and other health professionals in a supportive, non-clinical role.
