Southern Support Centre

The Southern Cancer Support and Information Centre has a range of support services and programs to assist people who have been affected by cancer. Our trained staff and volunteers are available to assist members of the public with any enquiry or support need relating to cancer. 

Members of the public are encouraged to drop in or contact us directly on the details below. The Centre stocks a comprehensive range of print resources which are available at no cost to the public and we can also assist with locating evidence based websites for specific information. 

Cancer Council Tasmania runs a range of support groups across Southern Tasmania, participants are encouraged to contact the Hobart office for further information on how to join.

Shop at Cancer Council in Sandy Bay

Cancer Council products are available at our Southern Support Centre in Sandy Bay.

A range of high quality, affordable sun protection products branded Cancer Council Australia, have been developed to reduce the harmful effects of the sun’s UV rays and the risk of skin cancer. The range includes sunglasses, UV protective clothing, sunscreens, hats, pop-up sun shelters, swim goggles, marquees, umbrellas and cosmetics with sun protection.

A full range of our sun protection products are available online and a limited range of sunscreen, hats and sunglasses are available from the Cancer Council Support Centre located at 15 Princes Street, Sandy Bay.

Shop hours are currently 9:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
