cancer+ financial assistance
Cancer Council Tasmania offers financial assistance under its cancer+ program for families of children, adolescents and young adults (up to 25 years of age) with cancer, when no other avenues of assistance are available.
For those over 25 years of age, please refer to Cancer Council’s Financial Assistance Program.
Applications for cancer+ financial assistance must be completed by a social worker or member of a health care team.
Rachel and Jye Fund
The Rachel and Jye Fund was established with the aim of providing financial assistance for Tasmanian families of children/adolescents up to the age of 18 year diagnosed with cancer.
The Rachel & Jye Fund offer:
- Rachel and Jye Fund offers a payment to Tasmanian families when a child or adolescent is diagnosed with cancer and/or experiences a relapse.
- Rachel & Jye Fund offers additional financial assistance to Tasmanian families with children and adolescents with cancer to assist with some of the extra costs when treatment is required interstate.
