Wig Library
Located in our three Support Centres in Hobart, Launceston and Devonport, Cancer Council Tasmania offers a free wig library service for clients experiencing hair loss as a result of their cancer treatment. Wigs are fitted by trained Support Services staff and volunteers in a private and confidential setting .
Clients are encouraged to borrow a wig at no cost for as long as they need it. The wigs are provided in a handmade bag with a brush, shampoo & conditioner, a wig stand and wig care instructions. CCT staff or a trained volunteer will follow up with clients to make sure they are still happy with their wig and to offer further assistance as required.
CCT also accepts donated wigs which are then cleaned, processed and added to the state-wide library.
