New Director of Cancer Support

Cancer Council Tasmania has appointed Raylene Cox as our new Director of Cancer Support. Raylene has been a Registered Nurse for over 25 years and before joining CCT she was the southern region manager of the Child Health and Parenting Service in the Department of Health and Human Services. She also has a Graduate Diploma in Child and Family Health Nursing, Masters of Clinical Nursing  and Graduate certificate in Management and Leadership from UTAS.

Raylene is married and has two children. “I’ve always enjoyed working in the community and am thrilled to be working at Cancer Council Tasmania,” she said.

CEO Penny Egan said Raylene brings some wonderful experience to the role related to having worked with diverse, complex and difficult issues in the community sector. “Over the past few years in DHHS, Raylene has managed some demanding change management issues and has worked with staff at various levels within that organisation to achieve some good outcomes,” Mrs Egan said.
